Krystina Janus

Krystina Janus is a native Chicagoan born to immigrant parents from Poland. She is the youngest of five children, the first in her family to be awarded a Bachelor's Degree and the only one to also be awarded a Master's Degree. She currently serves as the Adult Education Curriculum Coordinator at Truman College in Chicago, IL, USA. She assumed this position after teaching English as a Second Language and other adult education courses for more than 22 years. She is a life-long learner who loves to travel and learn from other cultures. When she is not working or traveling, she spends her time caring for her three dogs and two cats, tending her flower and vegetable gardens, and practicing yoga. Krystina is also an advocate of human and animal rights and supports causes that promote compassionate care, advocacy, freedom, justice and peace.
